

Oakmont catered to every desire. If dad was an outdoorsman, he could take part in Oakmont’s first annual fishing competition. If he wasn’t that big on fishing, he could take part in a father/child nine-hole scramble. In the end, all families were able to come together for a fish fry near the pool.
Economic development may be on the horizon for Corinth, as Mayor Vic Burgess said he knows of several situations where developers are aware of improvements to infrastructure and excitement is building. “The foundation, or the key, to economic development is infrastructure,” said Burgess. “We are trying to move forward, and it’s beginning to happen.” Burgess said the council is reviewing the master plan as part of this process. “Things are looking really promising, but we are in the early stages,” he added.
